yesterday we had our choir concert and right before that, while we were doing a sound check, we didnt do anything. as in, we sang, mostly in tune and what nots, but we didnt like do what ms tham wanted us to do. like use our abs to support the sound, make our sound rounder and stuff. she was so furious with us and we were so scared la can. she said she didnt feel like conducting us that night and told us to fix the problem. scary like hell. you do not want to experience that.Posted at: 12:23 PM but oh well, its over and, actually, many people told us that we were the best choir that night. i mean, probably in terms of english and sound. i guess. but personally, i didnt feel it was our best performance or what. actually, i thought PLMGSS was not bad too, but others didnt feel that way. i tell you. OMG. the person who introduced the FF choir, her england so powderful. seriously. she cannot pronounce words clearly. really really. it was really, ugh. hearing her speak. but okay, i'm not supposed to comment on how they speak or what, but it was seriously, quite bad. they should let her practise OR get someone else with better english. anyway. today i'm ushering for BAND CONCERT. yay. i love our school band! (except for the time during council camp when they were hogging the bath for so long that the councilors didnt have time to bathe) but they sound great and i'm so proud of them cause they've improved a whole lot. no matter what people say, i'm still standing my ground that IJ band is the BEST BAND EVER. and i'm not talking in terms of sound. but in spirit and everything else. i dont define a band to be good by their sound, just like i dont define a school to be good by the grades the students get. i think our band has something alot of bands dont have. thats spirit. the concern for others, taking time to teach juniors. i mean, look. this just proves that IJ produces students that not only do well, but they also learn to care for others and not just think of themselves. i think our band has that. they know when to play and when to learn. when to have fun and when to be serious. they are the best. in terms of everything. even though they're not the top band in singapore or whatever, i still love them and i think that they will become the top band one day. simply because they have faith that anything's possible. IJ BAND. I LOVE YOU. YOU GUYS ROCK! |
